Tax preparation services for individuals, sole proprietors, investors and retirees since 1977. Specialties: clergy tax preparation and Ohio state and city income taxes including RITA and CCA. As a former fundraising executive, I offer guidance on charitable gift planning. Federal and state electronic filing is at no cost. I do not offer refund anticipation loans. My billing is hourly, not by the form, almost always resulting in a lower fee to clients.

Tax Tip #2: Where's your 2012 refund? File electronically and track the progress of your refund starting the next day. If you file a paper return, tracking information will be available in four weeks. To check your refund, go to the new IRS portal here.
Tax Tip #3: Thinking about withdrawing from or cashing out of an IRA, 401k or other pension plan? The tax withheld will not equal the tax you owe. Don't guess and don't let your IRA custodian guess. Call me for a short appointment so that you can make an informed decision and prevent unwelcome news at tax time. Have you inherited an IRA from someone other than your spouse? Regardless of your age, you are required to take an annual distribution from that IRA starting in the year of death. If you do not, the entire IRA will become taxable. Some IRA custodians do not pay attention to this. Bring it to their attention, and don't accept a "not until you are 59-1/2" answer.
The Registered Tax Return Preparer credential is not an endorsement by the IRS. It confirms to the public that competency has been established through IRS examination and that a background check is satisfactorally completed. Continuing education is required to maintain the credential.
